IEBC Clears UDM’s Oyugi Dor To Run For Ugunja 

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Monday cleared businessman Oyugi Dor to vie for Ugunja MP in the August poll. 

Dor who is flying the United Democratic Movement Party (UDM) ticket is set to face the area lawmaker Opiyo Wandayi who is running on an Orange Democratic Movement Party (ODM) ticket.

Mr. Wandayi who doubles as the ODM party political director is facing stiff competition from Mr. Dor who unsuccessfully run for Embakasi North MP in 2017. 

Alego Usonga MP Sam Atandi was also cleared by IEBC to defend his seat on an ODM party after a long court battle with his rival Dr. Kut Ochogo. 

He will face former MP George Muluan who is running on a DAP – Kenya party and advocate Sospeter Aminga who is running as an independent candidate. 

In Gem, Elisha Odhiambo will be flying ODM flag against youthful politician Booker Ngesa among others. 

Rarieda MP Otiende Amolo is facing stiff competition from UDM’s candidate Netto Adhola.
